One platform

The invoice comes in at the top. The payment goes out at the bottom.

No second system. No re-keying vendor details into a separate payments tool. BillRoute already knows the invoice, the vendor, and the approval , now it pays.

1

Invoice captured

Invoices arrive and are parsed, coded, and validated. The BillRoute you already know.

2

Approved

Routed through your existing approval workflow, with duplicate and policy checks.

3

Paid

One click initiates the payout on the vendor's preferred rail: ACH, digital, or physical check.

4

Reconciled

Payment status posts back on the same invoice. Scheduled, sent, paid, all in one view.

The problem

Manual payments don't scale.

You automated the invoice. Then someone still cut the check. Payment is where the automation used to stop.

01

Time drain

Hours spent cutting checks and initiating ACH transfers by hand, every single week.

02

Vendor inquiries

Vendors calling to ask "Where's my payment?", and your AP team has no fast answer.

03

Zero visibility

No single view of what's been paid, what's pending, and what's failed.

BillRoute Pay fixes all three.

How it works

From approved invoice to paid vendor. Automatically.

1

Invoice approved

Approved invoices flow into a payment run automatically, batched across multiple vendors. No manual handoff.

2

Payment routed

BillRoute Pay routes each payment via ACH, digital check, or physical check based on the vendor's preferred method.

3

Vendor notified

Vendors get real-time status updates and can self-serve through their portal, so they stop calling AP.

FAQ

Common questions

What is BillRoute Pay?
BillRoute Pay adds vendor payments to BillRoute. Once an invoice is approved, you can pay the vendor directly, via ACH, digital check, or physical check, without exporting to a separate payments system.
Is BillRoute Pay a separate product?
No. BillRoute Pay is the payment layer built into BillRoute. The invoice comes in at the top and the payment goes out at the bottom, all in one platform, on one vendor record and one login.
Which payment methods are supported?
Three: ACH (~0.9% vendor fee, ~5 business days), digital check (fee varies, 5–7 business days), and physical check (no vendor fee, ~20 business days). Vendors choose their preferred method and payments route automatically.
How fast do vendors get paid?
ACH payments typically arrive within 5 business days, digital checks in 5–7 business days, and physical checks in approximately 20 business days.
How do vendors get set up?
You invite a vendor and they receive an email to set up their account, banking details, and payment preferences. Vendors can then track every payment through their self-service portal.
Is payment and banking information secure?
Yes. Money movement is powered by Stripe and funds are held in FDIC-insured accounts at Fifth Third Bank N.A. Vendor banking details are encrypted and never shared, and every payment carries a full audit trail.
Does BillRoute Pay work with our PMS?
BillRoute Pay batches approved payments directly from your workflow, with native ResMan support and Coupa for procurement-driven teams. Payment data posts back so there's no double entry.
How does reconciliation work?
Payment status posts back onto the same invoice inside BillRoute, scheduled, sent, paid, or reversed. You can export payout details for reserve draws and month-end without leaving the platform.
